Admiral Nelson invites Dr. Charles Melton, foremost authority on the Gulf Stream, aboard the Seaview to investigate the cause of the unprecedented blizzards causing havoc in Florida and along the entire Atlantic seaboard. Nelson is unaware that Dr. Melton has been turned into an obedient robot by Frederick Cregar I agent of a foreign power I which wishes to block the investigation .
